This page lists upcoming pack events. These are open for all Pack 40 Cub Scouts and their families to participate in!
The grade-specific den meetings are communicated by each den leader, and are not listed on this page.
It's summer! Dens take the summer off, and the pack offers/attends events for families who want to stay engaged.
We will keep attendance at pack activities, and will also check in with everyone at the end of the season to see if we missed anything that counts towards the Summertime Fun adventure.
Have a fun summer, everyone!
Date: Saturday, June 21, 2025
Time: Gates open at 2:30pm, assemble for on-field procession at 3:05pm, game starts at 4:05pm.

Bring / other details: Each family can buy their individual tickets here, by 2pm the day of the game. Use the "Search for a friend" tool on the order website to see where friends in our pack are sitting - it'll be the name of the parent who bought the tickets (for example search for Diane O to see where Diane will be!)
Packing list suggestions and restrictions will be sent by organizers to those who sign up. The latest info packet is also posted here. Note that stakes are not allowed on the field, so tents must be able to stand without being staked down.

This trail is relatively flat, with beautiful scenery. There are some steps and trails are uneven (roots, rocks, etc). Not stroller-friendly.
We will meet outside the visitors center next to the parking lot and hike out to some pretty waterfalls. Estimate the hike to take 45-60 minutes.
Wear sturdy shoes and bring your Cub Scout 6 Essentials (water, whistle, snacks, sun protection, first-aid kit, flashlight) and bug spray.
Visitors center also has restrooms and water fountains.

Date: July 26, 2025
Time: 9am-11am
Please sign up for a time slot here - you don't have to come exactly at your time, but it's an attempt to space folks out since the fishing area is small.
Location: Lake Cochituate
Park on the street near 16 Bayberry Rd, Natick.
Walk in through the opening in the chain-link fence.
Yellow Pack 40 signs will guide you to the fishing area.
Note: 16 Bayberry Rd is just a nearby address to put into the maps app, we don't know those people! Don't go to their house 😄
Cost: Free
Suggested Uniform: Class B (yellow tshirt)
Bring / other details:
Bring: your fishing gear, Cub Scout 6 Essentials (water, whistle, snacks, sun protection, first-aid kit, flashlight) and bug spray. Extra fishing gear will be available for folks to borrow who do not have their own. Pack dads Matt and Jason will be on-hand to help those new to fishing, and make sure the Cub Scouts learn how to fish safely and have fun!
Depending on how many sign up, expect to fish for about 10-15 minutes so the shore does not get too crowded.
Activities including a walking trail will be available for the kids before/after fishing.
